The food was good and the second water really hit the spot for Ashen, but it was time to get moving. Guards escorted him to the hangar where a ship was prepped for them to leave. It was nothing one would find in the Chiss armada, and seemed decent enough. Ashen waved at the Chiss who had saved him and was now going with him on a mission. Things were just so exciting in Chiss space. "Hey Elim! Oh man, you guys make great food! I'm ready when you are!" He said with joy.

Elim managed to check the shuttle before Ashen arrived. It was a decent ship, not great but space worthy. It could go hyperspeed which was important, it had quite powerful shields but minimal weapons. At some supplies on board. When he got outside Ashen was just coming. "Being in fringe territories can get annoying and good food can help with the morale. And every bit helps, right?" he said. He wasn't sure if his new friend wasn't ironic, but he liked the food. "I guess we can go over the plan during the flight, right? No reason to wait here any longer." he said. Technically this was his mission and he wanted to make it a success.

Ashen nodded with a big grin on his face, it was true that the food had put him in a much more positive mood. Elim was also correct, being in Fringe space was sometimes unnerving for most, even Ashen sometimes felt a little paranoid about it. Scary things had happened here, and would probably continue to happen many centuries later. "Welp, lead on Elim!" He winked at the Chiss as he started for the ship. He stopped for a second, looking at his environment and taking in the daily work of a Chiss. The ship was busy, not a single Chiss hunched over unless crouched to reach hard to get places. It was a massive machine of perfection. "Impressive. I don't think even the Galactic Empire compared to the stature of the Ascendancy." He admired.

Elim lead Ashen into the shuttle. "I think I will pilot this thing... I have no idea what experience you have with flying, but I just happen to be a quite good pilot." this place lacked both sleekness and punch of his patrol craft, but it was still a ship. And if it could be flown he could fly it. Elim didn't actually wait for his response, instead he sat on the pilot seat and cleared them for departure. In few moments the ship left the patrol vessel. "So... what's the plan? You are the one with information, I barely even been to Cormit..." he admitted. Ashen probably never been there, Chiss didn't take kindly to visitors, but Elim was only on a fleet station while they were gathering supplies. "Oh... the Galactic Empire was pretty functional, for humans. But it was still in Galactic core. And yes, the Core is not without it's problems, but out here we have to work together to keep ourselves alive. And by work I mean work... every Chiss should pull their weight." it wasn't easy out here. The "unknown regions" were a dangerous place, threaten from within and without.

Sitting next to Elim in the co-pilot seat, the seemingly human male rubbed his chin as he was asked what the plan was. Ashen was certain that asking would be enough...with some booze to help get the old geezer back into a friendly manner, but what if there was something more to it than that? "Like I said, the Toydarian should be willing to give us the intel so long as I can uphold the end of my bargain. Which might not be so easy." Ashen grimaced.

The ship jumped into hyperspeed, quickly leaving the Warden. "So... just a friendly talk... no problems. Why do I have the bad feeling it will end in firefight?" Elim asked. He had his blaster and also a direct communication to Chiss security forces. It was better to be prepared. "I guess you don't even have a gun right now, do you?" Elim asked all of the sudden. Of course he hasn't. If he had pirates would take it... and if not them, Chiss would. There had to be some random blaster in the ship, but right now Elim wasn't sure he even wanted Ashen to have a gun. The way won't be a long one, but it was perhaps time to get to know him a bit better. "So... tell me about yourself... I did save your life I think you owe me that much..." he pointed

Ashen nodded, "Nope, no gun. Sure I've used them before, but I just never owned one. Never killed anyone either, but death doesn't seem to bother me much." He spoke with confidence. He got cozy in his co pilot seat, it was nice compared to sitting in the cell or detainment room. There was a big smile on the man's face now, things were looking up. "And yea, just a talk. It should be easy as pie." More confidence again. But then he was asked about himself, and Ashen didn't know what to say. "Well..." He started only to stop. He didnt know much. "I grew up on Coruscant, moved to Tatooine, became an info broker. Ya know...the usual."

Elim just nodded. He never killed anyone by shooting him, but he almost killed everyone on the board of the slaver ship earlier today. He didn't allow it to bother him, it was his duty to defend the Ascendancy. He also wasn't quite sure about his assurance that this mission will be easy. It seemed that life in core was a lot more different than here if this was "the usual". "Well... I think I will have to take your word for it." he just said. Most of his life was on spent on Csilla and in space. Most other places were just for training. "What is it like? Coruscant? Here they say it's a place of greed and capitalism. Place where people don't appreciate what they have and want more, selfishly climbing over everyone without any cohesion..." he asked.

More nods of confidence rolled Elim's way as Ashen assured him that this mission should be the easiest thing he had ever done. Of course, Ashen hadn't told Elim that the info he was bringing to the Toydarian wasn't the best. In fact, it would probably break the Toydarian, but the man believed the flying alien would be able to handle it. Then he pressed his palm to his chin in a thinking manner, Coruscant was pretty much how the Chiss described. "It is pretty much that, it's pretty nasty. It's pretty like Csilla, but without the structure of military presence. In fact...I bet if the Ascendancy attacked the Core now...you could control it...easily." Ashen started winking at the Chiss. The man did enjoy causing trouble, even it was major.

It was pretty much as Elim thought, Ashen just confirmed that. He also very much doubted that Ashen actually knew howw Csilla looked since only precious few outsiders seen it before. Most of those who did were outsiders no longer. "And what would we do with galactic core? Are there resources that aren't plentiful in Chiss space? Humans would try to rebel and killing them all would bring us nothing." he said. Also, while the Ascendancy was powerful it wasn't nearly as powerful right now as it used to be. There were problems they didn't talk about, especially not to strangers. "Simply said the Core would be more trouble than it would be worth." he stated simply. Though he wouldn't mind seeing more of the galaxy.
