Ashen nodded. "I'm mostly messing with you. Look, I appreciate the rescue, I really do." He smiled at his blue friend. Truth be told, if it hadn't been for Elim, Ashen might have died. "I think, for our sake, we best walk side by side. Keep any unwanted eyes from knowing who's leading. At least. We have a bit of a ways to walk." His client was on the other end of some kind of market, or bazaar. Ashen wasn't sure what the Chiss called it. "I can send him a signal now, letting him now I am here." Ashen finished as he took out his little device and pressed another button on it. It would be received by the Toydarian's datapad with a simple message that Ashen had arrived and was on his way.

Elim didn't react. He wasn't exactly keen about being teased, after all he had 4 older siblings. "You can contact him if you want. He might be less jumpy than if we just appeared. But first we need to endure an inspection from the Chiss. I can easily get them from our way with a simple code, or we can get through it normally. After all we aren't smuggling anything." he explained as the ship was landing. The starport wasn't huge, since it was one for outsiders. And chiss didn't get many visitors, by design.

"Probably best to let them do the search. Less likely to have trouble that way from any other Chiss who might not get the memo." He said after thinking for a moment. Ashen began to see something beginning here, a team up, and a new relationship created through the only word he could find, fate. Something brought him here to Elim, and Ashen hated the concept that he had no control over that, but it wasn't all bad either. "My device reads as a simple comlink anyways. It pretty much acts that way, other than it's beacon." He finished.

"Fine... just prepare they will give me some nasty looks... Chiss don't approve of chiss who don't serve the Ascendancy. Like freelance shuttle pilots for example... so keep calm and for the sake of both of us... don't make any jokes. These guys might not appreciate it." he said deadly serious. Once the ship landed he opened the door and let the inspection in. And as he said the three chiss that entered gave Elim a very, very nasty looks. One of them turned to Ashen, the other two started searching the ship without any words spoken. The other one did spoke to Ashen: "Is this vessel yours? How long do you have it?" he asked. Elim was pretending he wasn't even there.

"Aww...you're probably right." Ashen agreed. Once they had settled, the Chiss were quick to start asking questions and search the ship without even so much as a warning. Elim wasn't joking about them not liking Chiss outside their communion, it was sad really, biased in all ways. Instead of asking Elim the questions, they went to Ashen instead, which spoke a lot about their culture, even off worlders were more liked then Chiss outside the Ascendancy. "Yeah, it's mine...well rather, we own it. Co-pilot here, talk to the my friend here, I'm not authorized to say anymore outside of that." Ashen nodded at Elim.

Elim would now really like to kick Ashen really hard. He just had to force him to do the speaking. "Yes, the ship is ours, do you have problem with that? Don't worry... our papers are in order so you won't find anything problematic... so better stop wasting our time..." he said bitterly. He suspected that they don't actually want to speak with "an outcast" so he tried to provoke them a bit. The quick "hmpf..." he got as the answer was a sign it was working. Both of the chiss quickly finished the inspection and left with a stern "We will be watching you". "That went well... not thanks to you..." he was still a bit angry about that...

Ashen snickered somewhere in the back of his mind, he realized a few things as the Chiss began to question him. One: He had forgotten to always watch out for himself, no one else mattered. Two: Something about the Chiss not knowing who Elim was, and the main forces of the Chiss agreeing that this would be part of the mission made Ashen uneasy. This meant he had to retort to rule one for just in case this went south. "Hey, I am pretty sure the ship is under your name, and I didn't know they would act that way towards you!"

"I warned you they will look down on me... not a good idea pointing them at me... it was just asking for troubles..." hopefully they quickly decided he was more troubles than he was worth. "Whatever... let's get this show on the road and find your contact." this mission will surely get crazier before it's done. Hopefully there won't be any shooting involved. He left the ship and leaned against it's hull, waiting for Ashen to make contact by radio...
