Upon further inspection, the flag's opposite side did possess something akin to the skull of a dragon or some other large reptilian beast. If the Chiss knew what it was, then the rest would be made apparent. Otherwise, inspection on what happened here wouldn't be made clear. There were clear marks of blaster impact on the walls pointing towards the jungle the Chiss had come from as well as blaster marks inside. Going further into this inspection, the Chiss would begin to notice marks that could resemble claw marks, they were only slightly bigger than his own hand, but there were more numerous than the blaster marks. They only appeared on the outside of the wall as far as the Chiss could tell.
They appeared old, but really, how could one tell what marks were fresh and which were old with the upkeep of the base itself?

Seemed like whoever was staying here claimed a piece of this jungle. And the jungle fought back... and won. Whoever lived here got probably wiped out by jungle predators. That was terrifying. Somehow he thought there won't be any answers here, but he still wanted to search the biggest building. Perhaps there will be some answers... or perhaps something else... Unfortunately his jungle training seemed a bit insufficient right now. With the blaster in hand he walked slowly too the building, letting his computer warning him if it detected any threats. This place was creepy, too humid and too warm for his taste...

As this Chiss moved in closer, he would be able to tell that the large building had the worse of the damage. A wall opposite of his view had a large hole going through it, allowing sunlight to enter and give a clearer field of vision inside. But looking above to where the ceiling was, was a total different case. There was an unnatural sense of darkness up there, there were no clear indication of beams or any other objects that may support the roof. Just darkness. Deeper into the building, there were two doors on either side at the far end that would lead deeper into the building. Any and all tech in the main room he was in was off. Whether they could be turned back on was unseen.

He didn't even know what he expected to find. The power was long gone... perhaps he should've tried the generators, but he doubted it would work after all the time. His best choice was to find a terminal that had it's own power source? Or perhaps a datapad. Whoever lived here had to have some sort of map that he could use. Granted, maps weren't that useful when you didn't now what you were looking for, but still. Elim was done with blindly walking, he started to tinker with his wrist device, trying to find some energy sources nearby...

Actually, as the Chiss used his device, there were quite a few of minor energy signatures. Most of them would have the readings of datapads or various other small devices of similar concept. All of these could be found on the right door. There was, however, another signature with stronger readings but this was farther back in the base itself. It was coming from one of the warehouses behind the wall, but the device on the Chiss was too far to read which warehouse. There should, however, be further examination of the room he was in, there was a computer terminal a few in front of him, a few lockers to his left on the wall, and lockers with dust all over them.

Elim checked the computer terminal, not really thinking it will be powered on. The lockers were of little concern to him right now, but he still peaked inside. After all there was time. He had supplies to last him some time and he didn't expect to solve this mystery in one day. And while he was keen on finding more and was planning very much to search the walled warehouse later. His primary goal right now was to search the datapads for any interesting clues... perhaps even a map? Hopefully...

Surprisingly the monitors has very little power, not enough to be turned on, but there was power flowing through their cords. Maybe the Chiss could turn it on with a little bit of juice? Regardless of this, after peaking into to the lockers would reveal blaster rifles, very old, but still in decent condition. Whether they worked would be another matter, but their condition meant they could be worth something.
The datapads were what really held the most, though, each one was a personal perception of what happened there. A Mandalorian by the name of Dirn Ordo had taken the base over after a recent cave in of ranks. The previous caption simply could not take the heat and was fed to the local fauna. The datapads would go on about reports from patrols about eyes in the jungle, but nothing every showed up. Further down the dates, there was a resupply of weapons, ammo, food, and various other things needed for a militant base.
It was when the second to last recording would anything be considered understood.
"Yesterday, we saw large beasts flying overhead. Bigger than any Basilisk, shadowed over the base. Never seen so many Mandos run into buildings to hide. Many of the youngbloods admitted to a strange feeling, something dark. Something old. Others said they had felt it closer to patrolling other areas, but never here. Gonna have some data sent in from Onderon. Never seen these things before, but I am sure they arn't cuddly. "
The recording stops. The next entry is just about what the base needed the next shipment.

So it seemed this place was a mandalorian base. It should've been expected after all that fortification. Mandalorians were one of only few people that Chiss had some sort of respect for. They were flawed, but their warrior culture was respectable and as fighters they were not easily matched. Elim took two rifles and stashed them in his backpack. When he will have time he was going to tinker with them... hopefully restoring at least one of them. The datapads were of little help, but the mention of some giant flying beast was... ominous. This planet surely had some crazy fauna and his small blaster was incredibly insufficient to the task of protecting him. Then again it seemed that not even mandalorians could survive here. And he found no maps to help him. Well... it was time to search the warehouses behind the wall. Hopefully there will be a way inside. In the best case he could find some mandalorian armors... these things could take a blaster bolt like it was nothing... and it would surely be better then his uniform...
